Reading Assignment 5

Hello class. This week I have been finishing Mockingjay the final book of the Hunger Games Series. It is a good book so far. My favorite character that I have read about this year would have to be Josh from the two books Baseball Great and Rivals. I like Josh because he relates to me a lot; he plays baseball for a travel team and he is a nice kid. This is why he gets this distinction.
There are many characters that could be my least favorite character in all of the books that I have read, but if I would have to chose my least favorite character of all the books it would have to be President Snow from the Hunger Games Series. He would be my least favorite character be is rude, mean, and sinister. Also because he thinks he can control all of Panem but he can't.

Reading Assignment 4

Hello. This week I have been reading the the end of Fahrenheit 451 and I started reading Mockingjay, the third book in the Hunger Games Series. If I would have to chose four people to be in a cast for the whole entire Hunger Games Series the four main characters from the book I would chose would be Katniss, Petta, Gale, and President Snow. To play Katniss I would have Ellen Page. She has played many teenagers in many movies and would be perfect for this reason and that she have won many awards. Ken Luckey could be Petta because he has the similar body structure that Petta is described with. Patrick Stewert could play the part of President Snow because he can be serious and professorial as he did when he played Professor Charles Xavier. And as Gale I would have Ralph Macchio as a kid like in the Outsiders and also because he is a great actor.

Reading Assignment 3

Hello Class. This week I have beam reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. So far it is a good book and I am enjoying it. Four songs that would go with this good classic book are:

"Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash.  



"I'm Reading A Book" by Julian Smith

"Help" by the Beatles

"

"Fire" by Arthur Brown 

 I chose these songs because in the book Montag is a fireman that actually starts fires rather then putting them out and that is his job. His job is to burn books because they do not read them any more. But for every house they go to, to burn the books, he would steal one. then one day after he first decided to read one of the books he went to a mans house so that he could help get a copy made and burn his original so he would not get in trouble for reading. And in all of this he was experiencing difficulties with love and his wife describing why I have "Ring of Fire" up there.

Reading Assignment 2

 Hello class. This week I have been reading the second book in the Hunger Games series "Catching Fire". So far it is a really good book and I am enjoying it. If I could meet an interesting character from the book it would have to be Katniss because she has been to the hunger games twice now and she has done well in the first (I am not at the actual games yet in book 2). The 4 questions that I would ask her from both books so far would be:
1. How hard was it to see Rue die in the 74th Hunger Games?
2. If Petta would have died in the 74th Hunger Games would you be having all these problems?
3. Do you think that the Capital is hiding District 13 form the people in districts 1 -12? Why?
4. If you could live in any District in Panam which one would you choose? Why?
Katniss would probably answer this to the Questions:
1. It was very hard to see but I knew I had to stay there with her till her end.
2. If he would have died I do not think I would be having these problems with President Snow
3. Yes it is a possibility why else would they show only certain pictures.
4. I do not know what Katniss would say here so class you can answer in your opinion here.

Reading Assignment 1

          This week I have been reading the first book of the Hunger Games series, The Hunger Games. So far the book has been really good. All of the characters in the book such as Katniss, Prim, and Rue are very realistic. They could be real people because in the book they are real people and they act as we would act in today's society. My favorite book that I have read this year would have to be not one book but two. The two books would be Baseball Great and Rivals both by Tim Green and both are part of the same two book series. Both books are about baseball and that is the main reason that I like them and, both books were the two best baseball books that I have read this year and ever. Lastly I have read 27 books so far and once I am done with The Hunger Games I will have 29 books done.
